Occupy DC “Branding”
In the early days of Occupy, there wasn’t a clear, non-verbal symbol for the 99%. Grids are simple, versatile, and easy to reproduce. They recall city blocks, organized action, prison windows, and so much more. Grids exist literally everywhere we look, which means this symbol is naturally referenced as ubiquitously as the group it represents. Once you internalize this symbol, you will see it represented everywhere. Project Role: Concept Development, Execution
